I am not feeling very bloggalicious tonight...just tired. Nothing wrong just drained. I need to go swimming tomorrow to get my energy back!
Charlotte and I baked a cake together this afternoon. We had a great time! She loves scooping, mixing, blending, tasting. I really relaxed and let her do as much as she could. At first I looked at the steps and started deciding what I had to do alone...then I just thought well why cant she do it with my help? We made a royal mess of the kitchen, but had a blast.
It was a great simple lemon cake. Good Martha
Stewart recipe...the cake turned out light and fluffy...and Charlotte got to lick the beaters.
Then she helped with dishes...great afternoon activity before getting dinner ready. Maggie hung on my ankles wanting to participate until Baba rescued her and played with her.
That is my favorite time of today. Simple, fun, sharing a skill with my daughter my own mom taught me.
